Privacy Policy

The short version

Your images are compressed inside your own browser. Image data is never sent to a PixelCinch server, because no PixelCinch server processes images. We store your Google account identifier, your email address, your plan, and a count of how many images you processed this month. Nothing else.

What we access in Google Drive

PixelCinch requests a single Google Drive permission, drive.file. This scope grants access only to the specific files you choose through the Google file picker, plus files PixelCinch itself creates. It does not allow us to list, read, or search the rest of your Drive.

We also request openid and email so we can identify your account and count your monthly usage against the right plan.

How your images are handled

When you run a batch, your browser downloads the selected files directly from Google Drive, processes them locally, and uploads the results directly back to Google Drive. The image bytes travel between Google and your browser. They do not pass through our infrastructure, and we never store, copy, inspect, or transmit them elsewhere.

Service providers

  • Google — authentication and Drive access.
  • Supabase — the database holding the account record described above.
  • Polar — payment processing for Pro subscriptions. Polar acts as merchant of record and handles card data; we never see your card details.
  • Vercel — hosting for this website and the application.

Limited Use disclosure

PixelCinch's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not transfer this data to third parties except as necessary to provide the service, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not allow humans to read it.

Your choices

  • Revoke PixelCinch's access at any time from your Google account permissions page.
  • Request deletion of your account record by emailing support@pixelcinch.com. We delete it within 30 days.

PixelCinch is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
